QR code stand for your shop counter: what to print and where to place it

A counter stand only works if people notice it and understand what happens when they scan. Here is what consistently gets scanned in Indian retail, clinics and restaurants.

Size and placement

A5 or A6 acrylic at the billing point, angled toward the customer, works better than a larger poster behind the counter. Keep the code between chest and eye height and never behind glass with heavy glare.

Wording that gets scans

Tell people the benefit, not the technology. "Scan to explore", "Scan for menu & offers" or "Scan to review us" outperform a bare code.

Measure it

Because the code is dynamic, your dashboard shows scans per day and clicks per link. If scans are low, move the stand; if scans are high but clicks are low, fix the ordering of your links.

Frequently asked questions

Can one design be printed for many shops?
Yes — a generic printed batch is cheaper, and each code is activated to a different business later.
